Chattogram, Nov 26 - A Chattogram court has sent former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari to jail after denying his bail plea.

The 38-year-old, who also serves as the spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatan Jagaran Jote, was arrested in Dhaka on Monday and brought to court on sedition charges.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Islam rejected his bail petition and sent him to jail after Chinmoy Krishna was produced before the court regarding a case related to the alleged desecration of the national flag at New Market in Chattogram city, said Fazlul Kader, officer-in-charge of Chattogram Metropolitan Police’s Kotwali Police Station.-UNB
