Bangladesh-Pakistan T20 match



Dhaka, Nov 6 (UNB) -Bangladesh have won the toss and chosen to bat first against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval, in their last Group 2 fixture of the T20 World Cup that has now turned into a virtual quarterfinal, after the  Netherlands shocked South Africa.

Bangladesh have made three changes - Shoriful, Yasir Ali, and Najmul Hasan out, while Soumya Sarkar, Nasum Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain come in their place.

Pakistan are unchanged.

Whoever wins this game, will qualify for the semifinals with India from Group 2. Earlier England 

and New Zealand qualified from Group 1.

In the day’s first fixture, the Netherlands beat South Africa for the first time across any format. Put in to bat first, the Dutch posted a respectable 158/4 off their 20 overs, before restricting their opponents to 145/8.

Colin Ackerman was adjudged man of the match for his innings of 41 off 26 balls that helped accelerate the Netherlands’ innings.

South Africa could have ensured qualification with victory, but now end on 5 points. It means whoever wins the game between Bangladesh and Pakistan, who are both on 4 points, will leap over them in the table to 6 points and qualify. - UNB
