Sheikh Russel U-19 Badminton competition begins

DHAKA - Sheikh Russel U-19 Badminton competition has
begun from today (Wednesday) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the
city.

  Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, MP, formally inaugurated
the four-day meet as the chief guest while Bangladesh Badminton Federation
(BBF) President and Information Commissioner (Senior Secretary) Dr Abdul
Malek, Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Deputy Secretary General Ashikur
Rahman Miku, Sheikh Russel Jatiyo Shishu Kishore Parishad's Adviser Sirajul
Islam Mollah , Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited Tarafdar Mohammad
Ruhul Amin, Sheikh Russel Jatio Shishu-Kishore Parisad's Organizing
Secretaries Farid Uddin Ahmed Ratan, Alauddin Raju and former Chhatra League
President Saifur Rahman Shohag present as special guests.

   'Sheikh Russel Jatiyo Shishu Kishore Parishad' Secretary General KM Shahid
Ullah presided over the opening ceremony.

   Organised by 'Sheikh Russel Jatiyo Shishu Kishore Parishad', near about
300 shuttlers are taking part in the competition which is being held on the
occasion of Sheikh Russel Day on October 18 and the birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.BSS
