DHAKA -Opening batter Parvez Hossain Emon and fast
bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi were added to Bangladesh squad for the final and
third Twenty20 International match against Pakistan.
Emon is yet to make debut for Bangladesh in any format of cricket but
Kamrul Rabbi had already played seven Tests. But the pacer, who is called up
for the first time in the national fold after 2018, didn't play any ODI and
T20 cricket.
The final T20 which turned out to be dead rubber following Bangladesh's
four-wicket and eight-wicket defeat in the first two matches, will be held
tomorrow (Monday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) though didn't disclose who were dropped
to make their way, it is learnt Saif Hassan, who opened the innings with Naim
Sheikh in the first two matches, had already joined the side's Test probable
in Chattogram. Saif scored 1 and 0 in the last two T20 matches.
The departure of Saif raised a prospect of Emon's debut in the third
match. On other hand, Bangladesh also had to bring up a bowler in place of
Mustafizur who is highly unlikely for the third match following his side
strain. Shohidul Islam may replace him if he is unavailable. Kamrul Rabbi
also could make T20 debut as the team management is pondering a rest for Taskin Ahmed. BSS
