Shakib joins in Tigers practice camp for 2nd Test

Staff Reporter Cricket 2021-12-02, 10:45pm

DHAKA - Ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan joined in Bangladesh's team practice today after returning negative in the Covid-19 test.

Shakib is expected to play the second Test, starting on Saturday as he is believed to gain full fitness.

The premier allrounder of the world has been suffering from the hamstring injury which forced him to sit out for Bangladesh's last two matches in the Twenty20 World Cup's Super 12s.

He then missed out the three-match T20 International series against Pakistan but was on his way to return to the Test series. However just ahead of the first Test, he failed to pass the fitness test and was ruled out.

During the practice session, he was seen to bat in the net for almost an hour before joining the other player in fielding session.BSS
