Bangladesh opener Liton Das has joined the team in Delhi where they will face Sri Lanka on November 6 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

He returned to Bangladesh after the match against Pakistan to remain with his childbearing wife.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) granted him two days of leave for the sake of family matters.

Bangladesh won only one game of the ongoing World Cup so far playing their seven matches, with they winning their very first one against Afghanistan.

Bangladesh are now targeting to finish the tournament with the seventh or eighth position so that they can participate in the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy.
