Dhaka, 14 Nov -The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cancelled the two-day practice game of the New Zealand ahead of their two-match Test series against the Tigers later this month.

The warm-up game was cancelled at the request of the New Zealand Cricket who wants to give their players some rest after a grueling World Cup tournament.

New Zealand will play the first semifinal against hosts India Wednesday and if they win they will have to play the final against the winner of South Africa vs Australia match on November 19.

The New Zealand team is scheduled to reach Bangladesh on November 21 for the Test series. And the practice game was supposed to be held on November 23-24 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Considering this rest issue, New Zealand Cricket wanted the practice match to be skipped to which the BCB nodded yes.

The first Test is at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from November 28.

The second and final Test is in Dhaka from December 4. The series is the part of ICC World Test Championship.
