Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus has finally admitted the responsibility for failure in the ICC World Cup 2023.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus has finally admitted the responsibility for failure in the ICC World Cup 2023 and informed about the next course of action.

“We all have the responsibility for failure in the ICC World Cup 2023 and we have admitted that. Definitely, we all have to admit the responsibility when the team fails to reach the expected goal,” he said.

Jalal Yunus made such remark while talking to reporters at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur on Saturday (November 18).

The BCB sought reports from head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe and team director Khaled Mahmud Sujon to explain reasons behind the World Cup failure.

“We have sought team reports. The head coach and team director have been asked to give reports explaining reasons behind the failure. The reasons behind the World Cup failure could be known upon receiving those reports,” Jalal Yunus said.

Next course of action will begin after receiving the team reports, he added.
