Channel i to face T- Sports in BSJA Media Cricket final Friday

The two teams will play in the final for the BSJA Media Cup title at the same venue on Friday at 10 am.



 Two satellite TV channels---T-Sports and Channel i -- reached the final of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Media Cup Cricket Tournament '24 eliminating their rivals in the semifinals on the 5th day of the meet at the Outer Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

The two teams will play in the final for the BSJA Media Cup title at the same venue on Friday at 10 am.

Imrul Hasan, president of Bashundhara Kings, will witness the title-deciding match as the chief guest and later he will distribute the trophies.

BCB Director cum chairman of the media committee Tanveer Ahmed Titu will also present the function as a special guest.

In the semifinals on Thursday, Channel i beat Independent TV by 36 runs. 

Channel i batted first and scored 120 for 1 and later they restricted the Independent TV to 84 runs to bag a comfortable victory.

In the day's other semifinal,  T-Sports defeated The Business Standard by 33 runs.

Batting first,  T-Sports scored 102 runs.

In reply, The Business Standard were forced to fold their innings at 69 runs to suffer 33 runs defeat.

Former national pacer Shafiuddin Ahmed  Babu, BSJA general secretary M Anisur Rahman and member secretary of the tournament committee M Rabiul Islam distributed the day's man of the match awards.

Thirty two teams from different newspapers, news agencies and electronic media took part in the tournament on knock basis competitions.
