Miraz wishes to play always in fixed position

There are many identities of Mehidy Hasan Miraz in terms of batting positions. Sometimes he is seen as an opener, sometimes as a top-order or middle-order batter, and most of the time in finishing rule.

The promising all-rounder has also been playing in different positions since the beginning of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He did not seem to be easy in different positions.

However, Miraz wishes to play in a fixed position for Fortune Barishal in the tournament. He termed it difficult to play the batting rules by changing positions.

"I had to play the different rules in each and every match from different positions. It's difficult to do this. Different situations come in each day. But still, I'm happy for the last three innings. Those brought positive impacts on the team. So, I'm happy. I'll try to extend my innings if I get the opportunity," Miraz said on Thursday.

Seeking to be set in a fixed position, he said, "It will be better for me if I can fix myself in a position. However, there has the matter of team combination as well as team planning. Maybe that's the reason to put me in different positions."

"I talked to the coach and captain. They will maybe give me a position as they let me play at the same position in the last two innings. They maybe thought it would be better if I played there," Miraz added.
