Dhaka, 11 May  - Bangladesh spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed offered tips to a selected group of 16 aspiring leg-spinners today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) picked those spinners from a nationwide hunting programme organized by its Game Development Department.

The former Pakistan bowler Mushtaq himself is considered as one of the greatest leg-spinners ever the world has produced.

"Since there was no duty of national team today, Mushtaq was free. And we used this opportunity," said BCB gave development manager Abu Emam Mohammad Kawsar.

"He was sincere enough to spend some times with those aspiring leg spinners and gave them some valuable tips."

BCB is hunting the leg spinners from the grassroots level under the supervision of Pakistan spin coach Shahid Mahmud. They preliminary picked 80 spinners, from which a total of 20 spinners were picked through an intensive trial.

Amongst those 20, a total of 16 spinners were present today at Sher-e-Bangla cricket stadium and spent time with Mushtaq in a special camp.

"Today 16 spinners were present amongst the 20. They will be in the camp of Shahid Mahmud. But when Mushtaq will be available, he will spend time with those kids and offer his valuable tips," Kawsar added.
