Dhaka, 28 July - After a below par performance in the first game, Shakib Al Hasan was back with bang as he led Bangla Tigers Mississauga to a 22-run win over Vancouver Knights in Global T20 Canada at Brampton yesterday.

Put into bat first, Bangla Tigers compiled a moderate 152-7 but Shakib's terrific bowling helped them defend the total by restricting Vancouver 130-6.

Shakib claimed 3-10 in his four overs. His compatriot Shoriful Islam, however, continued his good form, finishing with 1-12 in four overs. His economical spell also contributed handsomely in the team's victory.

Harsh Thaker struck 79 not out but couldn't help the side get over the line. For Bangla Tigers, Iftikhar Ahmed was the top-scorer with 40 ball-50 not out.

However, when he shined with the bowling, Shakib's batting continued taking nosedive. He scored only two in this match.

Earlier in the first match, Shakib's team conceded a 33-run defeat to Montreal Tigers.
