4th round of BPL begins tomorrow

Dhaka, 16 Feb - After a two-day recess, the fourth round of TVS Bangladesh Premier League football begins tomorrow with two matches on the day.

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Bangladesh Police Football Club at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city at 3 pmwhile Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club meets old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet at 5.30 pm.

Bashundhara Kings have secured six points from three matches while Police FC have collected two points playing the same number of outings.

While Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club secured seven points from three matches while Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society yet to open their account playing the same number of matches.   

Bashundhara Kings earlier lost to Swadhinata Krira Sangha by 1-2 goals in their league opening match, beat Uttar Baridhara Club by  a solitary goal in their second match and edged past Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by a lone goal in their third match of the league.    

While Police Football Club lost 0-1 to Saif Sporting Club in their league’s opening match, played to a 1-1 goal draw with Abahani Limited, Dhaka in their second match and again split point with Sheikh Jamal DC forcing them to play a goalless draw in their third match of the league.

On the other hand, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club earlier beat Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 goal in their league opening match, blanked Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-0 goals in their second match and played out to a goalless draw with Police Football Club.

While the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society lost to Chittagong Abahani Limited by 1-2 goals in their league opening match, suffered a 1-3 goal defeat to Saif Sporting Club in their second match and went down a 0-3 goal defeat to Abahani Limited, Dhaka in their third match of the league.
