Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud claimed his maiden five-wicket haul as Bangladesh bowled Pakistan out for just 172 in their second innings of the series-deciding second Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.

This set Bangladesh a target of 185 runs to secure their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan.

Having won the first Test by 10 wickets, the Tigers are now on the brink of making history with a potential series sweep.

Hasan Mahmud starred with figures of 5-43, while fellow fast bowler Nahid Rana provided excellent support, taking 4-44 on Day 4 as Pakistan, resuming on 9-2, struggled against the Bangladesh pace attack.

The remaining wicket was claimed by Taskin Ahmed, ensuring that all 10 of Pakistan's second-innings wickets fell to the Bangladeshi pacers.

Salman Agha top-scored for Pakistan with an unbeaten 47, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed 43.

In their first innings, Pakistan posted 274 runs. Bangladesh, despite a shaky start at 26-6, fought back to reach 262, thanks to a superb 138 from Liton Das.
