Khaled Mahmud steps down as BCB director

Khaled Mahmud Sujon has resigned today as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director, citing personal reasons.


Sujon, popularly known as Chacha in the cricket fraternity was the chairman of BCB game development committee, vice chairman of Cricket Operations and the member of the Umpires committee.

He couldn’t be reached for his comments but BCB CEO confirmed about his resignation.

Sujon held several important posts and was an influential director in Nazmul Hassan Papon-led BCB in the last three terms.

He was believed to be the mastermind behind Under-19 team’s World Cup triumph in 2020.

His dedication towards cricket may remain unquestionable but he was always criticized for creating conflict of interest. Despite being a director, he was involved in coaching profession in Dhaka Premier League (DPL) and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He also ran a cricket academy, reports BSS.
