The day also saw Yasir Ali and Shahadat Hossain Dipu batting with patience to help Chattogram recover from a shaky start.

Sylhet vs Khulna

Amite Hasan struck the first double century of the 26th National Cricket League (NCL) as Sylhet put them in strong position against Khulna Division on Day 2 at Cox's Bazar Academy Ground today.

Amite who started the day with 109, finally was dismissed for 213 to help Sylhet declare the innings at 496-7. Khulna reached 3 for no loss at stumps.

Asadullah Galib also hit a century for Sylhet and scored 115 before being out.

Resuming the day at 244-3, Amite and Galib frustrated Khulna further to keep the side's nose ahead. They finally put on 251-run for the fourth wicket and it was broken when Mahedi Hasan got rid of Galib after hitting seven fours and three sixes in his 242-ball-knock.

Amite soon followed him after completing his first ever double century in the first class cricket. Before being the sixth batter out, Amite smashed 18 fours and one six for his 213 off 455.

Soon after Amite's dismissal, Sylhet declared the innings.
