Khushdil, Iftikhar lead Rangpur to 191-6 against Dhaka

DHAKA, 30 Dec -Rangpur Riders put up a respectable 191-6 against Dhaka Capitals in their first match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan recruits Khushil Shah and Iftikhar made key contributions in steering the side closer to 200 after they were asked to bat first.

While Iftikhar gave the side a solid base with 38 ball-49 hitting two fours and as many sixes, Khushdil gave the finishing touch with an unbeaten 46 off 23. He smote three fours and three sixes in his knock.

Saif Hassan was the other notable contributor with 40. Captain Nurul Hasan Sohan made 11 ball-25 to pace the innings toward the end.

Alauddin Babu, the highest wicket-taker of NCL T20, claimed 3-43 for Dhaka while Mukidul Islam Mugdho took 2-27.
