Sylhet phase of BPL kicks off tomorrow

Dhaka, 5 Jan -The Sylhet phase of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)

begins Monday with two matches.

Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host all of the matches of the Sylhet phase, the BCB earlier informed.

In the first match of the day, Sylhet Strikers will take on title-aspirant
Rangpur Riders while the night game saw defending champions Fortune Barishal facing off Durbar Rajshahi in return-leg match.

Rangpur Riders are in the top spot at this moment after winning all three matches in Dhaka phase. Khulna Tigers are behind them with four points. They are also unbeaten after playing two matches.

Dhaka Capitals won all three matches in Dhaka phase and expect that Sylhet venue will bring some luck for them. Sylhet so far played just one match in Dhaka phase. However, they will get maximum matches in Sylhet venue.

The Sylhet phase will end on January 13 after which the BPL will move to Chittagong where Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium will host the matches from January 16-23.

The BPL will then again move to Dhaka which will host some matches and playoffs before hosting the final on February 7.
