Big names in BPL in Eliminator clash

Dhaka, 3 Feb -Rangpur Riders and Khulna Tigers recruited some big overseas players for their Eliminator clash today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium to keep their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) finals alive.

Rangpur team management disclosed they roped in star West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell, Australian batter Tim David and English batter James Vince.

All three players joined Rangpur after finishing their stints with their respective teams in the ILT20 in UAE. Russell was playing for the Abu Dhabi Khight Riders while David and Vince were playing for Gulf Giants.

Meanwhile, Khulna recruited West Indies' batter Shimron Hetmyer and all-rounder Jason Holder, who also played in ILT20 for Gulf Giants' and Abu Dhabi 
Knight Riders teams respectively.

Both Gulf Giants and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders were eliminated from the ILT20 
yesterday night.

However, in the Eliminator game, Rangpur won the toss and opted to bat first. 
The team which will loss the game will be eliminated from the final race. The 
winner will get another chance to give a shot at the final.BSS
