Hasan, Khaled to be trained with Bangladesh Squad Dubai
Dhaka, 13 Feb - Fast bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Syed Khaled Ahmed will travel to Dubai on Saturday to receive training with the Bangladesh Champions Trophy squad, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a press release.
The fast bowlers were included in the squad to help the national team in training in Dubai.
The bowlers will return home following Bangladesh’s opening match of the tournament against India in Dubai on February 20, the release added.
Despite not being included into the original squad, Hasan and Khaled showed impressive performance in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Playing for Chittagong Kings, Khaled claimed 20 wickets in 14 matches while Hasan, who was the part of Khulna Tigers team, ended with 14 wickets from 13 matches.
After the match against India, Bangladesh will travel to Pakistan for their remaining two matches of the group phase.
They will take on Pakistan on February 24 before facing off New Zealand on February 27. Both of the matches will be held in Rawalpindi.BSS
