Dhaka, 16 Feb - Bangladesh pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib termed their lone practice game ahead of the clash against India in Champions Trophy as crucial to gain knowledge on the wicket.
Bangladesh will take on Pakistan Shaheens for their practice game at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai tomorrow. At the same city, they will face off India to kick-start their Champions Trophy mission on February 19.
"We have a practice game through which we will take preparation for the main game," Tanzim said in a video message sent by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
"It's (the practice game) very crucial to gather knowledge about the wicket. We'll get to know which delivery is effective here. We will also try to understand which delivery will give the batters a tough time."
Bangladesh are pitted in Group A alongside India, Pakistan and New Zealand. After taking on India in Dubai, they will travel to Rawalpindi to face hosts Pakistan and New Zealand on February 24 and 27 respectively.
Bangladesh reached in Dubai on Friday for the Champions Trophy and started their training session on Saturday.
Tanzim expressed his overall satisfaction with practice session in Dubai.
"We came to Dubai by a long flight at night. So we took a rest the next day," Tanzim said.
"After taking rest, we felt good and started our practice. We are feeling really well since we had a good recovery."
He also elaborated about their practice session: "Firstly we had a gym session and then we spent some time in net. Everything went really well. What is most important thing is that we are feeling well. And so we had a nice feeling in the practice."BSS
