Tigresses warm up well for ODI World Cup Qualifiers

Dhaka, 8 April —Bangladesh Women’s team crushed Pakistan A by 167 runs in their second and final practice game for the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers in Lahore today.

 In the first warm-up match, they beat Scotland by five wickets.

Captain Nigar Sultana Joty hit 72 ball-70 with nine fours and one six as Bangladesh put up a respectable 276 before being all out in 49.4 overs.

Opener Farzana Hoque Pinky made 50 while Jannatul Ferdous struck 34 ball-46 not out to accelerate the innings toward the end.

In reply, Pakistan A were bowled out for a meager 109 in 39.1 overs to hand Bangladesh big victory ahead of the tournament proper.

Marufa Akter, Rabeya Khan and Fahima Khatun picked up two wickets apiece.
Dua Majid was the top-scorer for Pakistan A with 32 while Umme-e-Hani scored an unbeaten 26.
