The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka.

The series will be played across three venues — Kandy, Dambulla, and Colombo — with all matches starting at 7:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time.

Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mohammad Naim are added to the squad. They were not part of the previous T20 squad that played against Pakistan in June this year.

Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Hasan Mahmud, and Tanvir Islam were dropped from the previous squad.

The Bangladesh team is currently busy playing a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. In the first match, Bangladesh lost by a big margin due to a lean display of the batters.

Ahead of the ODI series, both teams played a two-match Test series.

The first Test in Galle ended in a draw, in the second match, Bangladesh lost by an innings, and lost the series as well.

The first match of the series is on July 10th, while the second and final match are on July 13th, and 16th, reports UNB.
