Reckless batting puts Bangladesh A in trouble

Dhaka, 28 Aug - Poor batting show left Bangladesh in troublesome situation against South Australia on Day 1 of the four-day match at DXC Arena in Darwin, Australia today.

Put into bat first, Bangladesh A were bowled out for just 114 after which South Australia reached 204-5, taking 90-run lead at stumps.

No.11 batter Anamul Haque was the top-scorer for Bangladesh with a run-a-ball-27, an innings that eventually pushed the total past 100.

Three other batters could reach double digits—with Shahadat Hossain Dipu making 25, Rakibul Hasan adding 22 and Mahmudul Hasan Joy scoring 13.

Three Bangladesh A batters were out for duck, leaving the side in tatters.

Wes Agar, Harry Thornton and Jerssis Wadia shared nine wickets amongst them, taking three wickets each while Hanno Jacobs picked up the rest of the wicket.

South Australia batters batted comfortably in a pitch where Bangladesh struggled. Jason Sangha led the charge and remained unbeaten on 83. 

Australian T20 sensation Jake Fraser-Mcgurk made 52 to force his case stronger for the longer version format. 

Harry Neilsen was batting on 28 with Sangha as the bails were drawn for Day 1.BSS
