Jubo Dal activist injured in Dhaka gun attack

A Jubo Dal activist was shot and injured in a reported gun attack by some miscreants in Nayabazar Park area of Old Dhaka on Friday night.


The victim was identified as Russel, 31, an activist of Kotwali unit Jubo Dal son of Mohammad Ali of Shyampur area of the capital.

Ripon Das, a friend of Russel, said a group of miscreants appeared at Nayabazar Park around 9 pm and opened fire on Russel while he was sitting there, leaving him injured, reports UNB. 

He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) from where he was shifted to a private hospital in Dhanmondi, said Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of DMCH police camp.

Russel suffered bullet injuries on his left chest, he said.
