Bidisha Siddique Arrested in Fraud Case

Police have arrested Bidisha Siddique, former wife of late president Hussain Muhammad Ershad, in a fraud case.

She was arrested in Gulshan around 8pm on Tuesday following a court-issued warrant, said Daud Hossain, officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station.

The OC said a court had sentenced Bidisha to two years' rigorous imprisonment and fined her Tk10,000 in the case.

“As there was an arrest warrant against her in the case, she was apprehended,” he said.
