RAB arrests one with arms, ammo in C'nawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with a shooter gun, a foreign pistol, two magazines and four rounds of bullet conducting an overnight drive at Shibganj in the district.

RAB officials familiar with the drive said the arrested person was identified as Md. Abu Tahir, 34 of Palopara Pashchimpara under Paba upazila in Rajshahi district.

They said acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in front of Diamond Master's Market at Israil intersection under Shibganj municipality in the district at 12:20 am and arrested him with the arms and ammunition.

Later, the arrestee was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with filing a case, reports BSS.
