Schoolgirl gangraped in Khulna: 3 held
A schoolgirl has reportedly been raped by three people in Khalishpur upazila of Khulna district.
The crime occurred at an under-construction building at Madinabagh Residential area on Monday.
According to the complaint, Jahangir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khalishpur Police Station, said the class IX schoolgirl went out for a bike ride with her boyfriend Maruf on Monday.
At one stage, Mejba Uddin, a friend of Maruf asked him to meet them at Pabla Sabuj Sangha Field around 11 am.
When Maruf along with the girl arrived there, Mejba along with his two associates identified as Imon Molla and Shimul Choukidar took them to the under-construction building where they violated the girl in turns after keeping Maruf confined.
Later, Maruf managed to free himself and sought help after calling the emergency phone number 999.
On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested the trio.
The girl is now undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College and Hospital.
A complaint was lodged with Khalishpur police in this connection, reports UNB.
