e-commerce platform Dhamaka COO arrested for 'fraud'

Dhaka, Sept 29 -- The chief operating officer of e-commerce platform Dhamaka Shopping’ and two other persons have been arrested in Dhaka on charges of fraud.

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) nabbed the trio -- including Dhamaka COO Sirajul Islam Rana -- in the capital on Tuesday night, ASP (media) at RAB HQ, Imran Khan, told UNB on Wednesday.

Earlier, a case was filed against the e-commerce platform at Gazipur's Tongi West Police Station for fraud and embezzlement, on a complaint from a customer. - UNB
