Suicide: Couple hang themselves by one rope in Dinajpur
A couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling of their house at Hajipara in Khansama upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Rabiul Islam, a daily wage earner and his wife Samsun Nahar.
Chitta Ranjan Roy, in-charge of Khansama Police Station, said the couple had been blessed with a seven-month old baby girl, reports UNB.
Local people spotted the bodies of the couple hanging from the ceiling of the house, with one rope, in the morning and informed police.
Later police recovered the bodies and sent those to a local hospital morgue for autopsies.
A few years ago, Rafiqul took poison along with his son over family feud. However, he fortunately survived but lost his son.
Police are investigating whether there is any reason behind the deaths of the couple, said OC.
