Mystery looms over the death of two security guards of Agrani Bank inside the bank’s Radhaganj Bazar branch of Raipura upazila in Narsingdi.

Narsingdi District Civil Surgeon Dr. Md Nurul Islam said the autopsy of two Ansar members has been completed at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue. No injury marks were found on their bodies. Samples have been sent to Mohakhali for kidney and liver viscera reports.

The police recovered the bodies of two security guards inside the bank’s Radhaganj Bazar branch on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased, Touhid Fakir of Faridpur district and Ranju Mia, 39, of Tangail district, were members of Ansar and VDP.

According to sources, the bank staff found the main gate of the office locked from inside on Wednesday morning.

Getting no response from inside, the bank authorities informed Raipura police. The police reached the spot and broke the lock of the collapsible gate.

The bodies were found lying in the room of the Ansar members. The Raipura police and bank authorities could not immediately tell the cause of their death. There was no sign of any robbery or theft inside the bank.
