A clash between two groups erupted in Mollakandi union of Munshiganj district over establishing supremacy in the area.



A clash between two groups erupted in Mollakandi union of Munshiganj district over establishing supremacy in the area, leaving 10 injured.  Among them, three received bullet injury.
Fire arms were used and bombs were exploded in five villages of the union in the clashes took place from 1.00pm to Tuesday night.
Who received bullet injury are Sumon Molla, 20, Faruk Hossain, 28, and Pran Molla, 14.
Tariquzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Munshiganj Sadar Police Staion, confirmed the news.
According to sources, current Union Parishad Chairman and Awami League leader Ripon Patwari and former Chairman and Awami League leader Mohasina Haque Kolpona were at loggerheads for long time over establishing supremacy in the area. Following this, supporters of two leaders engaged in a clash on Tuesday noon and continued till midnight.
