Trader stabbed dead in Kushtia

A trader was allegedly stabbed to death by opponents due to previous enmity at Mirpur upazila in Kushtia on Wednesday.



A trader was allegedly stabbed to death by opponents due to previous enmity at Mirpur upazila in Kushtia district on Wednesday.
The victim was Sultan ul Alam Lincon, 35, son of Abdur Rashid, a resident of Mosharrafpur area of the upazila.
According to locals, the victim had a dispute with Shaheen Mallik and Razzak Mallik of the same area. On Tuesday around 6:30 pm, they locked into an argument with Lincon. At one stage, opponents stabbed Lincon with a sharp knife.
He was rescued and admitted to Kushtia General Hospital where he died in the morning while undergoing treatment.
Mirpur Police Station Inspector Rakibul Hasan said a case has been filed with the police station and three people have been arrested in the incident.
