Phulpori Khatun, who was tortured by Islamic University (IU) BCL leaders and activists, returned to the campus in Kushtia on Saturday morning to select her preferred dormitory.
She went there alongwith her father Ataur Rahman at 10am amid police security.
Phulpori, a fresher of Finance and Banking department of the university, started at Deshratno Sheikh Hasina Hall where she was tortured brutally and inhumanly by a group of BCL activists led by IU vice-president Sanjida Chowdhury Antora and her associates.
She said she wishes to stay at Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall.
Proctor Prof Shahadat Hossain Azad said, "Phulpori was brought to the campus with help from Pabna and Kushtia police. She was accompanied by Assistant Proctor Shahabul Alam. She wishes to stay at Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall. A process to allot a seat as per her choice is underway.''
Earlier, on Wednesday (March 1), accused BCL leader Sanjida and four others were suspended temporarily as per the High Court order.
The court also asked the IU authorities to allot a dormitory room as per Phulpori's choice.
The four other torturer students are Tabassum Islam, Urmee, Muabia and Meem.
On February 12 night, IU vice-president Sanjida Chowdhury Antora and her associates including Tabassum went to the victim's room and reportedly assaulted and tortured her.
Antora, at one stage, forced the victim to get undressed and videoed the incident on her mobile phone.
Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Hall authorities on February 27 expelled Antora and four IU BCL activists after found their involvement in the assault on the fresher.
