A garment worker was shot to death by robbers in Ashulia area of Savar early Thursday



A garment worker was shot to death by robbers in Ashulia area of Savar early Thursday (March 23).
The deceased was identified as Mofizul Mollah, 32, hailed from Nagarpur upazila in Tangail district. He used to work in a garment factory in Ashulia.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station SM Kamruzzaman confirmed the matter.
According to police, a group of robbers attacked the house of Shakil Munshi, a resident of Nayapara area in Ashulia, on Wednesday around 2am. Everyone in the house screamed when the robbers started cutting the windows of the house.
At that time, the robbers shot tenant Mofizul while he came out from his room to stop the robbers.
Mofizul was taken to Women and Children Health Center Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
