Police on Wednesday morning recovered the body of a young man in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari district.



Police on Wednesday morning recovered the body of a young man in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari district.
The dead was Rahul Karmaker, 33, son of late Tapan Karmakar, a resident of Sudheer Member Para area under Boalkhali union.
Police said local people spotted the body of the man on the side of a road in Jamtali area early in the morning and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body from the spot.
Local shopkeeper Michael Dash said Rahul Karmakar bought a Paan from his shop on Tuesday at 9 pm. Then, he left the shop saying he was going home after talking with his wife over phone.
Rupa Karmakar, the wife of the deceased, said her husband informed her over phone that he was returning home from Bazar at around 9 pm. Later, Rahul's mobile phone was switched off from midnight, she added.
Jibon Karmakar, brother of the deceased, they started searching for his brother as he did not return home even around 12:00 am. Later, they were informed that a body was lying on the side of the road in the morning. He also said that his brother was killed.
Dighinala Police Station officer in-charge Muhammad Ali said the deceased has injury marks on his head, back and various parts of body.
Police are trying to arrest those involved in the incident, the OC added.
