Child pornography: Youth held on Google's information

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested a youth on charges of sexual harassment of children and juveniles on the basis of information provided by Google.
Inzamul Islam was arrested on Wednesday from Joydevpur in Gazipur district.
Naked photos, videos and contents of child pornography of many children who were his victims have been found.
It was informed by CID in a press release on Thursday night.
CID's Mass Media Branch's additional police super Azad Rahman said the US-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) works on children's rights including stop of sexual harassment against children, eradication of child pornography etc.
He said Facebook, Google and Microsoft inform the US-based organisation about child related information on their newtwork. CID got involved with the organisation in 2021.
The press release said accused Inzamul got involved in a physical relationship with one of his close relatives first in 2019. When he got involved in physical relationship with that woman for the second time, her child suddenly saw it. Then Inzamul started harassing the child sexually alluring her. At the same time, he recorded the naked photos and videos of the child and kept those in his own phone. He saved those (photos and videos) in his mobile phone storage and Google drive.
It further said the arrested youth carried out sexual harassment on children, girls and adult women of his village apart from her close relatives. Naked photos, videoes and contents of child pornography of many children were found on his mobile phone. Many children who were less than 10 years old became the victims of his sexual harassment.
The CID filed a case against Inzamul at Paltan Model Police Station under the Pornography Act.
