Yusuf Ali, an advocate of the petitioner in the case confirmed the matter on Friday evening (June 23).
Earlier, the prime accused was produced before the court of Jamalpur Judicial Magistrate Hasib Ullah Pias after his five-day remand. Meanwhile, he gave a confessional statement before the court. Later, he was sent to jail after recording his statement.
On Wednesday (June 14), journalist Golam Rabbani Nadim was attacked and injured allegedly by some supporters of Babu in Bakshiganj. Later, he died under treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on June 15.
