54 arrested in DMP’s anti-narcotics drives

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 54 people in their anti-drug drive in different areas of Dhaka in 24 hours until Thursday morning.



Dhaka, Dec 2 :  Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 54 people in their anti-drug drive in different areas of Dhaka in 24 hours until Thursday morning.

During the drives, 9,541 Yaba pills, 314 grams of heroin, 32 bottles phensedyl and 40 kgs of cannabis were seized from their possession.

A total of 38 cases  were filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act, said a media release of DMP Headquarters, reports UNB.
