Burglars loot Donia flat in Dhaka, decamp with valuables

Dhaka, Nov 26 - Burglars looted valuables including gold ornaments, cash money worth Tk7.5 lakh after breaking the lock of a flat in Dhaka's Donia area early Friday.

A case was filed with Kadamtali Police Station on Saturday. However, the police are yet to arrest anyone in the case.

Sabrina Khan Toma, a tenant of the flat, works in a private company.

Tama said she and her husband went to the Khilgaon area for shopping on Friday afternoon. They returned home around 7:30 pm and found the lock open. After entering the house, she noticed that the thieves had stolen many gold ornaments, watches and mobile phones worth Tk 7,32,090.

Kadamtoli Police Station Sub-Inspector Sharif Hossain said that police are working on the matter. No arrests have been made so far regarding the case. - UNB
