Unidentified miscreants set a paddy-laden truck on fire in Dinajpur’s Kaharole upazila on Sunday midnight amid the countrywide 48-hour blockade enforced by BNP and some like-minded opposition parties.

Farukul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kaharole Police Station, said the miscreants came to the spot riding four motorcycles, set the truck ablaze around 1:30 am and fled the scene.

The truck was partially damaged and the paddy sacks remained intact.

The truck owner is preparing to file a case, he said.
