Bus burnt in Ctg, BCL protests arson attack

Zahidul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station, said arsonists set the bus ablaze at 11:30 pm, creating panic in the area.



Unidentified arsonists set a bus on fire at Chandgaon C&B area in Chattogram city on Wednesday night, during the latest countrywide blockade called by BNP and like-minded opposition parties.

Zahidul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station, said arsonists set the bus ablaze at 11:30 pm, creating panic in the area.

On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.

Meanwhile, a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jubo League activists brought out a procession protesting the arson attack at night.
