A compartment of a freight train derailed in Tongi of Gazipur on Monday (December 25) morning.
The incident took place around 9:45 am.
Quoting eyewitnesses, Tongi Railway Outpost in-charge Chhotan Sharma said after crossing the station, a compartment of a freight train heading towards Chattogram derailed near Tongi bridge in Gazipur around 9:45 am.
The derailment halted train communication until filing the report.
