Two youths were killed in a mob beating in the Sayedabad area of the capital on Wednesday morning, allegedly for raping a woman.

The deceased were identified as Arafat Sharif, 20, and Saidul Islam Yasin, 19.
Arafat and Yasin were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 10:45 am in critical condition, where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.
Samrat, a student who brought Arafat to the hospital, said that some unknown persons severely beat three youths in Sayedabad on the charge of gang rape. Yasin was also brought to the hospital by his family members and declared dead.
It was learned that a woman was gang-raped in the Sayedabad area. The Bangladesh Army was informed of the incident, but the angry mob attacked the trio before the army arrived.
