7 workers ‘abducted’ in Bandarban

Bandarban, Feb 2 – Seven workers have reportedly been abducted by armed miscreants in Lama upazila of Bandarban district. 

The incident took place at Bumor Khal in Kamla Bagan Para on Sunday.

Md Shahidullah Kaisar, superintendent of Bandarban Police, said information of the abduction of seven workers were received and the members of joint forces were conducting a rescue operation.

Armed miscreants abducted the workers from the workers shed in Bumor Khal under no 9 ward of Sarai Union of the upazila.

On January 14, armed miscreants kidnapped seven rubber workers from the same area and the joint forces rescued them on the following day. - UNB
