Man gunned down in Khulna city

A man was gunned down by some miscreants in broad daylight at Piprail in Phultala upazila of Khulna district on Tuesday.


The deceased was identified as Sumon Molla, son of Rakib Uddin Molla of Piprail village.

Quoting witnesses, Maniruzzaman Khan, officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station, said three people riding on a motorbike intercepted Sumon around 1:40 pm on the way to Jamira Bazar by a motorbike and opened fire on him, leaving Sumon injured, reports UNB.

Later, he was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Sumon was wanted in different cases.
