1405 crime suspects held in nationwide operations

In a series of nationwide operations, 1405 more individuals were arrested in the last 24 hours, said a press release issued by the Police Headquarters this morning.

With the latest arrests, a total of 16,937 alleged miscreants were arrested in 13 days since the operations began.

Of the arrestees, 900 were apprehended in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 505 individuals were detained on different criminal charges, reports BSS.

During the operations, one foreign-made pistol, one pen gun, six LGs, one gun, one single barrel gun, one magazine and six bullets were seized.
