One held with 20-kg cannabis from Nilphamari

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug dealer with 20 kg of cannabis (Ganja) from village Nekbakta Masterpara under Jaldhaka upazila of Nilphamari district on Wednesday night.


The arrestee is Azaharul Islam alias Shil, 50, son of late Jamir Uddin of Nekbakta Masterpara village under Jaldhaka police station of Nilphamari district.

On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13's Sadar Company conducted a raid there, seized a huge quantity of smuggled ganja and arrested the man from his house at 11:35 pm, a press release said today.

The elite force has handed over the arrested person along with the seized cannabis to Jaldhaka police station, reports BSS.
