Mother killed ‘by son’ in Manikganj

A 62-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her son over a property dispute in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj district early Thursday.


The deceased was identified as Karuna Rani Bhadra, wife of late Fotik Chandra Bhadra.

Locals said Ravi Chandra Bhadra, 42, attacked his mother Karuna with a sharp knife at their home, leaving her dead on the spot.

Daulatpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) A.R.M. Al Mamun said, on information police went to the spot and recovered the body, reports UNB. 

Later, the body was sent to a hospital morgue.

Ravi remained absconding since the incident, he added.
