Cyclone Murasu lashed Andhra Pradesh, southern state of India.

NEW DELHI, Nov. 6 (Xinhua/UNB) -- The bodies of at least four fishermen were recovered in India's southern state of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, while five others were still missing, confirmed a local government official.

The fishermen reportedly hailed from the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu.

While three bodies were washed away to the shore and were found near the Kothapatnam beach, another body was recovered from the sea by the Indian Coast Guard officials.

A total of nine fishermen had set out for fishing in the same boat on Oct. 29, but were later caught in cyclone Murasu, which hit the country's southern coastal areas in the early hours of Tuesday. Their fishing boat had reportedly capsized nearly 2 kilometers away from the seashore.

Media reports quoted senior government official Raja Babu as saying that his team was in touch with counterparts in Tamil Nadu regarding the missing fishermen, and efforts were being made to find them. - UNB
